The Value of Experience
Infrabuilders has been formed by young entrepreneurs with extensive experience in the local market on strategic business development in various fields. Our principals have over ninety years combined experience in managing and leading major ventures around the world.
Syed Ishteaq Hossain, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hossain has been involved in communication technologies for the past twenty years. He has extensive experience on program management in Bangladesh. Prior to founding Infrabuilders, Mr. Hossain was the Managing Director of Systems & Services Limited, one of the largest system integration companies in Bangladesh that conducted extensive business with Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited and various other government agencies such as the Power Development Board and Bangladesh Railway as well as in the private sector. Before SSL, Mr. Hossain worked with Avanti, a large defence supplier, as a Director of business development. He was also the lead consultant on the first three successful private telephone network license applications in Bangladesh and brings wide contacts in technology and financial circles. Mr. Hossain has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
Javed Ikbal, Vice President
Mr. Ikbal brings twentyone years of information security and technology experience working for Fidelity Investments, world’s largest mutual fund company and the 2nd largest on-line brokerage in the USA. He was the Chief Information Security Officer of Omgeo, world’s largest Straight-Through-Processing (STP) company, and also the Chief Information Security Officer of GTECH, world’s largest lottery company. Along with his work for Infrabuilders, Mr. Ikbal is a published author on technology and network security. He is also the co-founder and chief technology officer of zSquad, an information security consulting company in USA. Mr. Ikbal has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
Khaled Shams, Executive Director
Mr. Khaled Shams brings nineteen years of senior management experiences in ICT. He worked seventeen years for Siemens and Nokia Siemens Networks. He was CEO of Siemens Communications and Country Director of NSN in Bangladesh. He was CEO of Banglalion Communications, Bangladesh’s largest WiMAX operator. Mr. Shams has a Bachelor degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, MBA from IBA, Dhaka University and has completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Duke University, North Carolina.
Mr. Saidur Rahman, Director
Mr. Rahman has twenty-seven years of top-level experience in business and management. He was the CEO of Legend International, a hardware distributor and software development company active in the government sector including the Army, Navy and Air Force of Bangladesh. The company was also a pioneer in designing and installing audio-visual equipment in movie theaters, auditoriums and shopping malls. Previously he was a Director of China Harvest Limited, a leading trading company in Hong Kong for 6 years. He has also worked for the United States Department of Defence in Kuwait for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom as a member of the Movement Control Team (MCT). He is a commerce graduate and holds higher diplomas in electronics and computer science.
Moni Islam, Architect
Mr. Islam has over thirteen years of extensive experience in industrial, commercial and residential projects as the design assistant to chief architect and also team leader for implementation. He graduated in Architecture from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) in 2014.
